FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Department of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences held their annual progressive dinner on Thursday, October 13.  Ten faculty members hosted students in their homes.  Sixty undergraduate and graduate students and their guests participated in the event.

The evening began with appetizers at Dr. Robert Bacon’s home.  The students then broke up into smaller groups for dinner at various faculty’s homes.  Entrees included pasta, grilled chicken, authentic oriental cuisine, and ribs.  Students were overheard to say they definitely enjoyed the t-bone steaks prepared by Dr. Rick Norman.  Dessert at department head Dr. Jim Barrentine’s home concluded the evening.  “Our students and faculty look forward to this event,” said Dr. Barrentine.  “It gives us an excellent opportunity to get acquainted and enjoy one another outside the classroom.”  This was the 8th consecutive year the CSES Department has hosted the student progressive dinner.
