FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas Horticulture Club will have its annual plant sale at the club greenhouse at the Arkansas Agricultural Research and Extension Center Friday, April 22, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The greenhouse is near the Horticulture Field Lab behind the Food Science Building on Cassatt Street, east of North Garland Ave., about 1.5 miles north of the main campus.
Raven Bough, Horticulture Club president, said herbs, vegetables and a few flowering plants will be available. Proceeds will help fund student travel to national competitions and other events and projects, she said.
The horticulture department in Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences offers the state’s only four-year bachelor’s degree program for the major of Horticulture, Landscape and Turf Science.
