Poultry 101 Workshop begins September 29

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Poultry 101, a three-day, hands-on workshop, will be held Sept. 29-Oct. 1, at the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science on the University of Arkansas’ Fayetteville campus. The workshop is designed to introduce participants to production and processing factors that impact final product quality, safety and consistency.

Casey Owens, associate professor of poultry processing and products for the poultry science department, is hosting the workshop. Other organizers for the event include Christine Alvarado with Texas Tech University and Shelly McKee of Auburn University.
