MARIANNA, Ark. — A field day Aug. 24 will highlight University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture research at the Lon Mann Cotton Research Center, said Claude Kennedy, resident director.
The field day will feature two tours of research plots in cotton, corn, soybean, grain sorghum and wheat. Poster presentations will describe ongoing research in variety testing, pest and weed control and other agricultural issues and practices.
Registration for the free field day begins at 8:30 a.m. in the pecan grove of the station, located 3 miles south of Marianna on State Hwy. 1. Tours begin at 9 a.m.
Lunch will be provided.
