Plant Pathology Graduate Students

Members of the University of Arkansas Plant Pathology Graduate Students Association provide free diagnosis of plant diseases, recommendations and literature at the Fayetteville Farmers Market.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Area residents with sick plants are invited to bring samples to the Plant Disease Diagnostic Booth at the Fayetteville Farmers Market on the downtown square the second and fourth Saturday mornings of the month throughout the summer.

The Plant Pathology Graduate Students Association at the University of Arkansas is providing the free service.

Abel Tomlinson, association president, said graduate students are providing free diagnosis of plant diseases, recommendations and free literature. They will also help visitors access the services of the U of A Division of Agriculture’s Plant Disease Diagnostic Laboratory at Lonoke.
